AMAZING
1st 2 PIECE COMBO - DARK
El Pollo Loco, Los Angeles
I didn't realize that El Pollo loco is not universal. Apparently it's only in about four states. That's tragic. Their chicken is amazing. We take it for granted because it's fast food here, but I remember how blown away we were when it first came out many years ago. Best chicken skin anywhere.
REALLY GOOD
3rd STUFFED CHICKEN MARSALA
Olive Garden Italian Restaurant, Los Angeles
This is a tasty meal. Chicken breast stuffed with cheese and covered with mushrooms. Served with mashed potatoes (so less calories than the pasta dishes). Blurry but delicious
4th HULI HULI CHICKEN
King's Hawaiian Bakery & Restaurant, Torrance
Traditionally prepared boneless chicken. Marinated for hours, then charbroiled over an open flame. Large potion (great value) and delicious! Served with sticky rice and potato mac salad.
5th POLLO NEGRO
La Maria, Los Angeles
Grilled chicken breast in a pineapple black pepper sauce
7th MACADAMIA CHICKEN BOWL
King's Hawaiian Bakery & Restaurant, Torrance
Crispy chicken, garlic sauce and macadamia nuts ... My friend had this and loved it. She said it had plenty of garlic, so no kissing afterwards!
11th CHA CHA CHICKEN
Cha Cha Chicken, Los Angeles
Oven roasted chicken smothered in a delicately spiced Jamaican Jerk Sauce. Mild, medium or hot. We chose hot. It was tender and the sauce was good. I did like the coconut fried Chicken better though. You also have a choice of two sides. We got plantains and corn on the cob with this one. Both good
12th #6 VERSAILLES FAMOUS GARLIC CHICKEN
Versailles Restaurant, Los Angeles
Their "famous house specialty" roasted half chicken marinated in garlic sauce garnished with sliced onions Boy, they really love their sauce and sliced onions. This dish was SWIMMING in sauce. It had a strong lemon flavor which my son did not enjoy. It was juicy and tenderness. Do you see the fried plantains on the plate ? What do you think happens to them when they are served swimming in garlic sauce? Ding, ding, ding! You're right! Soggy nanas!!
13th CHICKEN POPPERS
The Pizzeria Factory, Los Angeles
Good chicken, but it needs more seasoning
14th CHICKEN SALTIMBOCCA
Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant, Los Angeles
Topped with prosciutto & sage, served with artichoke hearts, lemon, capers & lemon butter sauce. Tender but dry. I wouldn't get again
15th STUFFED CHICKEN WINGS
Rincome Restaurant, Los Angeles
Marinated boneless chicken wings, stuffed with mushrooms, silver noodles, and veggies... this in no way resembles a chicken wing. It's the size of a giant chicken leg! crispy outside was nice and the shredded chicken inside was not too dry. I don't think I'd ever get it again though.
JUST OK
16th PROSCIUTTO STUFFED CHICKEN
Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant, Los Angeles
Stuffed with mozzarella & prosciutto and served with marinara & pesto cream sauce. Incredibly dry chicken.
17th CHICKEN PARMIGIANA
Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant, Los Angeles
Not really impressed with any of their chicken entrees...
18th CHICKEN MARSALA
Olive Garden Italian Restaurant, Los Angeles
Their menu is minimal. Apparently, they changed the recipe. It used to be a stuffed chicken marsala with mashed potatoes. The server said they got rid of potatoes in their dishes which makes sense if you're limiting ingredients. However, the chicken is thin and has a rubbery texture. There's no cheese at all in this dish, unlike before. The sauce was just meh. Very disappointing.
19th CHICKEN BLINTZES
Traktir Restaurant Valley, Los Angeles
I think I would have enjoyed this if it hadn't been ground chicken. It was almost like chicken paste, which was not very appetizing. The rest of the dish tasted good.
20th CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS
The Cheesecake Factory, Los Angeles
Satay Chicken Strips (850 cal) or Grilled Avocado (830 cal), Carrots, Bean Sprouts, Coconut Curry Noodles and Lettuce Leaves with Peanut, Sweet Red Chili and Tamarind-Cashew sauces. The chicken was dry. ☹️
NOT FOR ME
21st GRILLED CHICKEN FINGERS
Halfway House cafe, Santa Clarita
Ew. My daughter should have sent this back. Chicken breast strips that were burnt on a griddle, and a pile of pickles on some lettuce? What was that about?
