PRETTY GOOD
3rd BUFFET STARTERS
Monument Café., Versailles
Various starters. I liked the tuna salad the best!
4th CHILI, SALAD, CHICKEN AND TEQUILA
LA Food Fest, Santa Anita Park
Some good (but tiny) offerings. Not worth the ticket price or the heat exhaustion though. The Peruvian chicken was good, but there were no utensils at the event. Got a fork with the chili and used it all day...even on the ice cream. 😕 chicken wing from Gus's was crisp and tasty too.
5th COCKTAIL, WINE, CHILEQUILES, BBQ, CEVICHE
LA Food Fest, Santa Anita Park
Had a few Stella Rosa samples including Rose and Tropical Mango... lovely in the hideous heat. Chilequiles were with an Indian twist: chicken tikka masala. Not bad. The ceviche looks beautiful because that's their "photo serving". We got a tiny cup of it. It was meh.
6th WING, ICE CREAM, TEA, TACO
LA Food Fest, Santa Anita Park
No spoon for ice cream. Lavender and chocolate. Wing from Smhokin Pot was NOT worth the huge and painful wait.
8th ASSORTED DESSERTS, SNOW CRAB, PEPPER BEEF
Tropical Buffet & Grill, Los Angeles
Desserts were meh, butter must not have been clarified so it was not as good as it could have been, and the beef was fine
NOT FOR ME
9th RIBS, CRAWFISH, BAKED SHRIMP, ORANGE CHICKEN
Tropical Buffet & Grill, Los Angeles
All flavorless. How is that even possible with Orange Chicken?!
10th CLAM CHOWDER, CLAMS, SWEET AND CRISPY FISH
Tropical Buffet & Grill, Los Angeles
These were the gross foods we tried. The Chowder Gods should smite them for even calling it clam chowder.
