AMAZING
1st HOE CAKE
Barrel and Ashes, Los Angeles
The requisite Hoe Cake with maple syrup and green onions.
1st HOE CAKE
Barrel and Ashes, Los Angeles
Uh, yes...I HAVE reviewed this before. That's because you have to buy this every time you come here. You must. Otherwise why even come? This is their thing. Maple butter and green onions. It's a little bit sweet and it's a little bit savory and it's just amazing.
2nd BREAD
DAMA Fashion District Restaurant & Bar, Los Angeles
Tomatoes, confit garlic, parsley, Portuguese olive oil. This was my favorite dish. The bread was expertly toasted and soft and moist inside because of the olive oil that had been drizzled on it. That olive oil was so light and refreshing and I ate every one of those tomatoes after the bread was gone. Super amazing!
2nd BREAD
DAMA Fashion District Restaurant & Bar, Los Angeles
Still my favorite dish! The tomatoes are delicious!!
3rd COMPLIMENTARY BREAD
Gwen, Los Angeles
They make this in house. It is crunchy and salty on the outside and the butter is wonderful. I loved it!
4th FOCCACIA
Sorella, Newport
Light and airy inside with a perfect thin and crunchy outside. Perfect
5th BAGUETTE
Petit Trois le Valley, Los Angeles
We have some very passionate bread eaters in my family. They were crazy for this bread!
6th CHEESE TOAST
Sizzler, Los Angeles
Still good. I have LOVED this bread since I was a child.
7th PAO DE QUEIJO
Kravings, Los Angeles
Addictive cheesy rolls. Dangerous because it's all you can eat
8th CAST IRON CORNBREAD
Gus's BBQ, Los Angeles
With jalapeño jelly and honey butter. Crispy on the outside but buttery and tender on the inside. Not a truly Southern cornbread because it's sweet, but I prefer mine sweet anyway. The jalapeno jelly is quite interesting and I kind of like it
9th WARM CHEESE PUFFS
Odys + Penelope, Los Angeles
With smoked tomato Romesco sauce. Delicious!
10th YORKSHIRE PUDDING
Tam O'Shanter, Los Angeles
$2 a piece on the side, but so wonderful with Scotch rarebit
11th PAN TOSTADO
Mercado Buenos Aires, Los Angeles
Fresh sliced baguette toasted with butter & marmalade. It's toasted baguette slices... however, you combine it with the chimichurri and it's to die for.
12th BARISH FARMHOUSE ROLLS
The Barish, Los Angeles
With Rodolphe le Meunier butter. Each roll was $8!! Two came warm and the other two were cold. These were fantastic, but I expect ALL of the rolls to come hot and fresh for that price.
13th COMPLIMENTARY BREAD
Oliva Trattoria, Los Angeles
with fresh garlic. I don't know if you have to request the tomatoes or if they are automatically brought, but that just ups the taste considerably!
14th COMPLIMENTARY BREAD
Mercado Buenos Aires, Los Angeles
This rating is for the chimichurri that comes with this complimentary bread. Delicious and addictive!
14th COMPLIMENTARY BREAD
Mercado Buenos Aires, Los Angeles
The chimichurri is just as amazing to go!
15th BREAD AND OIL
Bacari GDL, Glendale
Roasted garlic and olive oil with bread. Perfect and only $2!
16th BREAD WITH CHEESE SPREADS
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Los Angeles
The cheese on the left is a brie infused with champagne and it is amazing! The best thing we ate at this expensive restaurant was the only complimentary food!
REALLY GOOD
17th KHACHAPURI
Traktir Restaurant Valley, Los Angeles
Traditional Georgian Bread Stuffed With Melting Cheese. Um, yes!
19th COMPLIMENTARY BREAD
Morton's The Steakhouse, Los Angeles
A large loaf for sharing. It was very light and fluffy inside. The butter served with it was perfectly creamy and light but heavily salted. It worked perfectly with the bread. little did I know, this was the perfect introduction to what was to come at this restaurant. #dinela
21st PRETZEL BREAD
Saddle Peak Lodge, Calabasas
Served with butter and kosher salt. #dineLA
23rd COMPLIMENTARY BREAD

Delicious! The tomato sauce with it is great for dipping. Not too acidic.

The butter with balsamic was amazing
