Ok, so it doesn't have powdered sugar (the sugar is granulated), but the inside is amazingly light and fluffy.

Properly served in a bag of powdered sugar. These are more miniature jelly donuts than they are beignets, but I love jelly donuts and these are jelly donuts that are bite sized and served warm. So yummy!😍

with Coco cinnamon sugar and vanilla creme anglaise. These are more like sugar donuts, but that vanilla creme anglaise is gorgeous!

A little more like donuts, but very tasty. They are rolled in sugar and then dusted in powdered sugar. Comes with chocolate, salted caramel and raspberry sauces.

This is Chef Ludo's restaurant, so I just don't know what to think anymore about beignets. I expect them to be light fluffy pillow pastries with powdered sugar on top. This is two days in a row that I'm being given something more like a jelly donut. The filling on this is delicious, but this is not what I consider a beignet.

These are NOT beignets... They are jelly donuts. Minus 10 points for lying!

Excuse me... These are not beignets... They're fried puff pastry squares. They're served with maple syrup and ice cream. cutting them into squares and sprinkling powdered sugar on top does not make it a beignet. As a beignet it doesn't rate very high. I was generous and saying that it was pretty good for a beignet. If they called it something else and I put it under desserts it may have been rated higher

Maybe if we had been able to try them hot and fresh, they would have been better. Not light and fluffy, but generous with the powdered sugar
