Simple yet amazing. This restaurant started in 1930 and serves the best Chinese-style fried chicken I've tried so far. Flavorful to the bone.

YAYOI KEN is the name of the restaurant. Fried chicken steak drizzled with house special sauce and topped with YAYOI tartar dressing. It was delicious.

One of the best - if not the best - fast-food fried chicken in the Philippines. The breading is light yet crunchy, never greasy - yet the meat inside stays incredibly juicy. For me, the real star is the skin - gloriously crisp, golden, and downright irresistible!

Much like their Country-Fried Steak, this dish is one of my go-to favorites at Chili’s. It comes with real mashed potato - rustic, with bits of skin left in for extra flavor.

Sincerity Cafe is located in Binondo, Philippines - the oldest Chinatown in the world. This restaurant was established in 1956, and is famous for its old-school fried chicken recipe. The chicken is lightly battered, crisp, and seasoned in a way that’s very different from the usual fast-food style - it’s more delicate, almost like tempura, and paired with a special dipping hot sauce.

Japanese fried chicken set. Lightly battered and dipped in a Japanese soya-based sauce. The rice was amazing - the type you could easily eat with chopsticks. Meal cost: US$6 equivalent.

Max's is a fried chicken restaurant chain that began in 1945 in the Philippines. I remember their chicken to be much tastier than this one I had.
