REALLY GOOD
1st GYRO PLATE
NIKOS-OUZERI, Bad Aibling
Gyros. a.k.a CRACK. Mr. Nikos has found the recipe to make the Gyros equivalent of blue crystal. tender good meat, perfectly seasoned and with this great mix of "pulled pork" texture with a wonderful crispy edge. crack-a-lackin-licious.
1st GYRO PLATE
NIKOS-OUZERI, Bad Aibling
Mrs. C's main - Greek crack, A.K.A. gyros. Now this has been their specialty from day one, with succulent meat and crispy bits that have one of the most mouth-pleasing combinations known to mankind. Updating the dish is the onion confit - truly elevating the experience - and going perfectly with their amazing homemade tzatziki (in that cute little column vase). Bravo, Nikos... for taking your already splendid dish and kicking it up a notch.
2nd GYRO PLATE
Restaurant Dionysos im Ratskeller, Bad Aibling
Not a bad rendition of this dish - but the other Greek joint in town is much better. Crispy, chewy hunks of meat served with mediocre tomato rice and a nice tzatziki.
3rd GYROS CALAMARI
NIKOS-OUZERI, Bad Aibling
Beautiful meat and not the usual craptastic Gyros meat that a lot of places get and sell. with nice crispy pieces. Topped with some perfectly grilled Calamari and a side of delicious and creamy Tsatsiki. Perfection on a plate - we were, we are and we will be back for that NIkos!
