IKARUS, SalzburgOur dining adventure began in the Hangar 7 "Mayday" bar, perched on a stool while overlooking the hangar full of racing cars and aircrafts. The drink menu was impressive - sporting a full page of gins from around the world. Mrs. C went for something new, an Arctic Velvet gin (Distilled five times, it is produced with the highest quality grain from controlled organic cultivation. This pure product is enriched with juniper berries and 24 other ingredients including coriander from North Africa, caraway seeds from Holland and nutmeg from India) and Fentiman tonic. The taste was at first kind of 'artificial tasting' like a diet soda, but after a few sips you got used to the herbaceousness and it went down real smooth.
