and this, my friends is what built this nice silky smoothness and chili burn in the chili. It is called "do not eat this chocolate" for a reason.. boy oh boy was Mr. Carastian taught a lesson.. tee hee... thinking he can handle it and ignoring the warning (just a marketing stunt ) ...he was weeping.. this was SCHPPPIIIIICCCCCY!!! As the wonderful freaks from Lilliebelle Farms - who brought this to the world - put it long: 'We take a perfect blend of organic milk and dark chocolate and screw it up with an over-generous helping of ghost chilies, Aji Amarillo chilies and a splash of Chili Arbol.' And short: ' A full metal death chile and chocolate bitch slap' I still want to try their suggestion though: shave some on ice cream for an out-of-this-world combination!

Yes you might call it a condition. Or an illness. Some might say simply addiction or insanity. Mr Carastian cannot pass a chili chocolate. This one being on the rather mild side and the chocolate rather average than wow. Well - I had to try it.

This smooth bar of deliciousness is well worth hunting down if you like exotic chocolates... it come highly recommended from Mrs. C. Very fine milk chocolate infused with hibiscus and smothered with crunchy little bits of peaches. The bar went down in minutes without a fight...

OMG... how awesome is that.. Mr. Carastian had to buy it when he saw it (although it was 22 USD). a collection of fine chocolate that features that noble animal... BACON! and CHOCOLATE! it is like two of the most favorite things for Mrs. and Mr. Carastian come together as one... Milk bar with hickory smoked uncured bacon, barcelona bar with smoked almonds, sea salt and dark bar with smoked bacon and smoked salt... ahh... is there ANYTHING that noble animal can't do?

While strolling through town we discovered this amazing chocolate shop that features SUPER FRESH handmade chocolates. We tried a few flavors (milk chocolate with cranberries, white chocolate with raspberry/blackberry and dark chocolate with red peppercorns) but this one was so unique and delicious that it deserves a little fame. The basil tastes so fresh you might have just grabbed a leaf off the plant and went beautifully with the raspberry and white chocolate.
