AMAZING
1st SPICY CHICKEN WITH BASIL

The spice must flow!!! And boy it did. Super spicy and delish. Mr Carastian loved the fresh basil which took it up a notch. Fresh and fragrant. Love on a plate
2nd CURRY CHICKEN

the motto was - as always - show no fear. don't break out in sweat. or even worse cry. when the nice owner of that establishment comes back and asks: "was it too spicy, Sir?" don't get fooled by his smile it is a TRAP! Just pull yourself together and say: "Nope - all fine - could have handled a wee bit more of heat" Smile and hope that he is gone soon enough for not hearing you weep. This was on the way to nuclear! Yet still with a balanced flavor profile- loved it!!
3rd CHICKEN MOUSSE
Restaurant Überfahrt, Rottach-Egern
This perky little guy was a dollop of the most intense chicken flavor delivered by a light and creamy vehicle. Accented by a tiny enoki mushroom and another sliver of that AMAZING paper thin bacon.

5th ROAST CUMBRIAN CHICKEN, WING, PICKLED CUCUMBER

a great idea - and yet a bit too busy on the plate for my taste. the chicken was succulent, the wings had a bit of crunch to it (but too much of a sweet glaze), but the salad was overpowering the delicate pickled cucumber. Sad - especially for 23 GBP. Oh and while we are complaining - the staff was a bit inattentive. Considering that aside from our party of 8 there were only two more tables of two. They poured white wine for everybody - although only 2 wanted that (rest red) and didn't have what we wanted (Riesling) but brought out something that was FAR FAR away from Riesling. You had to ask twice for more water. Or to see the dessert menu (the list could go on). for that price range... too much.
6th SCHLANKES HUHN
Cooking Asia, Rosenheim
I don't know how 'skinny' this chicken was, but it sure was TASTY! Crispy, crunchy strips of sesame and sweet/spicy orange sauce coated chicken, fresh veggies (green beans, chinese cabbage, pineapple, bell pepper and broccoli) and priced redonk low - less than 8 EUR! Mrs. C loves it and calls this "American Style' Chinese.
7th CHICKEN ROLL WITH DUCK CONFIT AND SUSHI RICE TWO WAYS
Gasthof Alpenrose, Samerberg
A lovely plate of food with only one fault... the sushi rice (hidden under the green pepper hat) which was completely undercooked and under seasoned. Otherwise good!
8th SECHUAN CHICKEN

We always tell our waiter to 'make it spicy' and this time I think the kitchen was just trying to make us cry. Clearly a level 11 fire, but a very delicious blend of chicken, veg and cashews. And as we never back down from a dare, we just smiled and said, "hmmmm... PERFECT!" while mopping the sweat with our napkins.
8th SECHUAN CHICKEN
