REALLY GOOD
1st LAMB
The Folly, London
Spring is in the air at @drakeandmorgan! Last week I had the pleasure of visiting their restaurant at @thefollybarlondon and tried out their new spring menu! 🍽The restaurant is beautifully decorated with trees, flowers and hanging leaves to give you the feeling that you have escaped into a secret garden right in the center of London! 🌳💐🍃 . Here is a list of all the dishes I tried out: [swipe to see pictures] . ➡️Cheese & porcini croquettes - delicious little bits and more of a side rather than a starter but were delicious nonetheless . ➡️Smoked aubergine flatbread - my favorite starter. It had tons of flavor and was beautifully presented with flowers on top . ➡️Korean steak taco - great little taco but I was missing the Korean flavor, but regardless it was a good starter . ➡️Salt & Szechuan pepper squid - unique batter that covered the squid. It wasn't as crispy as I thought it was going to be when i ordered it, but it was delicious in it's own way! . ➡️Waldorf salad - was a lovely presented salad but I felt like it was covered in dressing and a bit soggy because of all the dressing . ➡️Naughty gnocchi ‘mac & cheese’ - so delicious and cheesy. I loved every bite . ➡️Lamb rump - normally I am hesitant to order lamb on the menu but this lamb was so perfectly cooked I could order it again and again . ➡️Wagyu beef burger - I had high expectation for this burger but the meat was over cooked and a bit dry . Had a very lovely evening @thefollybarlondon with @kingkeneats. If you haven't already make sure you check out this lovely floral menu which has new cocktails as well! #invite
2nd RACK OF LAMB
Stem, London
Sunday lunch at @stemrestaurant was such a culinary treat. Stem is a modern British restaurant & bar, by @chef_mark_jarvis, located just off of Regent St in the heart of Mayfair. Their menu offers an innovative twist on modern British food. The restaurant boasts a beautiful and tasteful interior with gorgeous copper finishings on the bars and tables. . I got to try out the 7 course tasting menu and it was a treat for my taste buds and my eyes as well! Each dish was beautifully presented and the service was quick. It was a 3 hour lunch, but that was expected as it was a tasting menu. I think this menu is perfect for an upscaled lunch with friends and it is easy to spend time together when the food doesn't stop for hours. The tasting menu costs £65 and if you would like to include a wine pairing then it is an additional £50. . The menu included the following courses: ✦ Malted barley and chicken liver parfait scone ✦ Violet artichoke, gold rush apple and cured duck liver ✦ Aged beed tartare, Marinda tomato, marmite crisps ✦ Line caught halibut, sea-kale and walnut praline ✦ Spring rack of lamb, English asparagus, peas and ricotta ✦ Nettle leaf granita and buttermilk sorbet ✦ Chocolate coffee and lime . It was so much fun meeting and hanging out with @transatlanticfoodies, @gemtakesfoodpics, and @natashazone . I was #invited to this restaurant by @onezoneapp. An app that makes it easier for you to find & share a cool place to eat & drink. 📍Stem, Mayfair, London
