Already overpriced opponent from the other side of same island, Ka'u seems to get more attention and promoted . Flavor is also not identical, actually very different. Not smooth like kona, but not quite bold either, definitely has more earthy deep flavor. Ka'u is grown in an area where volcanic activities often affect general farming/agricultures. Also the soil is mingled w volcanic sand/acid this also addyint nore original distinctive aroma
