It was served with the Borodinsky bread & lavash crisps. According to Wikipedia, the bread is a sourdough rye bread. The bread was so fresh & soft- I don’t remember ever having similar bread so fresh & soft & tasty- combined with the also just-made-fresh & appealing sour-sweet smetana butter beautifully! I will hunt down that bread when I return to Portland. The lavash crackers were very crisp & good.
