Drinking to Singapore’s 55th year of independence with this limited edition brew. I’d been intrigued by the idea of an orchid-infused brew for some time but was reluctant to buy a pack since it’s a darker lager which I’m less partial to compared to its hoppier counterparts. I’m happy to report that it doesn’t disappoint! It’s easier on the palette (at least mine) than your run of the mill amber lager. The orchid infusion imparts a pleasant, floral aroma just sufficient to counteract the maltiness I find somewhat off-putting in dark beers, yet without overwhelming the senses. Well played, Tiger Beer, which I suppose obliges me to now entertain my Tiger?
